Anwen holds a dual role at Immigration Solutions Lawyers, as a Solicitor within the Corporate Stream and Research Assistant to Principle Lawyer Anne O’Donoghue. Anwen graduated from University of Wollongong with a double degree in Law and Psychology and went on to study a Masters of International Law and Security at University of New South Wales. She has completed her Diploma of Legal Practice and is admitted as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of NSW.

In 2017, Anwen co-authored the Corporate Immigration Review’s chapter on Australian immigration, now in its 7th Edition.

Anwen’s role as a Solicitor within Corporate Stream includes:

  • Legal research with respect to Migration policy, cases and legislation to assist with corporate stream matters.
  • Assistance in preparation and lodgement of a vast range of visa applications including:
    • Subclass 457 – Temporary Work (Skilled) Visa, including Sponsorship, Nomination and Visa Applications
    • Subclass 186 – Employer Nominated Scheme (Transitional and Direct Entry streams)
    • Subclass 189 – Skilled Independent Visa
    • Subclass 190 – Skilled Nominated Visa (nominated by a State or Territory Government Agency
    • Assisting with submissions for the above visa applications regarding requests from the Department of Immigration and Border Protection

Anwen’s role as a Research Assistant for Principle Lawyer includes:

  • Preparation of submissions regarding relevant topics for submission to Government Departments (including but not limited to) Department of Immigration and Border Protection and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
  • Preparation of chapters and articles for publishing in internationally recognised immigration books, magazines and online.
  • Preparation of case notes to highlight successful cases achieved by Immigration Solutions Lawyers.
  • Legal research with respect to politically relevant topics to assist in the preparation of conference material.
