Kelli is the Judicial and Administrative Merits Review Stream Coordinator for Immigration Solutions. Kelli graduated from the University of Southern Queensland with a Bachelor of Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 2014. Kelli is admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of NSW. Kelli has extensive experience working with foreign clients on complex migration matters.

Kelli’s role as the Merits Review and MIU Stream Coordinator includes activities such as:

  • Preparation of lodgements and detailed submissions to the Migration and Refugee Division of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal regarding student visa cancellations, partner visa refusals due to Schedule 3 criteria, family violence issues, refusals of 457/186 visas, Resident Return visas, Remaining Relative visas, Carer visas, Protection visas etc.
  • Attendance and representation of clients at hearings of the Migration and Refugee Division of the AAT
  • Preparation and lodgement of complex Citizenship and Resident Return visa applications
  • Preparation of requests/submissions to the Minister for Immigration and Border Protection regarding compelling and exceptional circumstances of the applicant
  • Liaising with the Department of Immigration and Border Protection
  • Liaising and contacting members of parliament in preparing for Ministerial Intervention submissions
  • Liaising with Counsel regarding judicial review – brief to counsel
  • Correspondences with competent professionals (psychologists, social workers, doctors, forensic experts)
  • Perusing relevant legislation, Policy guidelines and researching Federal court cases, High court cases and AAT cases to assist with matters
