EOI and Subclass 189/190; Incorrect information; Record time for a Permanent Residence Visa Grant

The client provided incorrect information, declaring they had a positive skills assessment in an Expression of Interest (EOI) and Subclass 189 application when they had not undergone a skills assessment. We assisted them in applying for a new EOI, NSW nomination and Subclass 190 visa)
CASE BACKGROUND
The complexity of this application involved the applicant providing incorrect information. They received a section 56 request for more information to provide the positive skills assessment, and the requirement at the time was to ensure the applicant had a positive skills assessment prior to making an EOI application. Therefore, even if the applicant made arrangements for a skills assessment, the Subclass 189 application would be refused as the skills assessment needed to be dated prior to the EOI application.
CASE STRATEGY
We responded to the Subclass 189 section 56 request for more information by submitting that the applicant had made an honest mistake, as they had assumed they could use a practicing certificate to demonstrate that they had the required skills in place of a skills assessment. We then withdrew the Subclass 189 application, and we were able to do so given the applicant was still on a valid visa as their previous visa had not expired yet. In the process, the applicant applied for a skills assessment and once they got a positive skills assessment letter, we submitted an EOI for a Subclass 190 application.
CASE OUTCOME
After submitting the EOI, the applicant received an invitation in only 12 days inviting them to make a nomination application to NSW as they had high points score. After applying to NSW, they received a nomination approval in under 3 weeks. They were then invited to make a visa application for the Subclass 190 (permanent residence visa) which was granted in 24 days without any request for further information with regards to the previous incorrect information. We were able to achieve an amazing result in record time.
