Immigration Solutions Lawyers™ is a leading immigration law firm headed by managing director and principal lawyer, Anne O’Donoghue.

STRUCTURE
Immigration Solutions Lawyers consists of three streams: corporate migration, family migration, judicial and administrative merits review.
The corporate stream has significant expertise in dealing with sponsoring overseas employees, general skilled migration, distinguished talent visas and business innovation and investor visas (inclusive of significant investor visas). It is accustomed to retaining clients ranging from small start-up businesses to well established industry leaders in areas such as engineering, hospitality, consultancy and IT. The family stream maintains a high quality of spouse/partner visas, child visas, carer visas, remaining relative and parent visas, together with submissions on “no further stay” waiver conditions.
Our review stream provides high-quality forensic review of clients’ immigration history and submits detailed and comprehensive submissions to the Ministerial Intervention Unit. Immigration Solutions also conduct a very robust merits review practice before the Migration and Refugee Division of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and works with expert barristers in the area of Judicial Review. The review team additionally assists clients with citizenship applications, particularly for clients who have may have character concerns to overcome. Our immigration law firm also assists clients in obtaining Resident Return Visas for those seeking to permanently reside in Australia.

Immigration Solutions Lawyers has been involved with the development of immigration law not just domestically, but also internationally.
In regards to our contribution to developing the field of immigration law locally, Anne is an executive member of the migration law committee of the Law Council of Australia. In addition, Anne O’Donoghue is a member of the Specialist Accreditation Immigration Law Advisory Committee. Immigration Solutions has well-established international affiliations due to Anne O’Donoghue’s membership with Visa law International, the International Bar Association (IBA) and the Global Employment Institute. Anne is currently the Senior Vice Chair of the Immigration and Nationality Law Committee section of the IBA.
Immigration Solutions’ international presence is demonstrated by its involvement in numerous international conferences: the 2012 IBA conference in Dublin, the 2013 IBA annual conference in Boston, the IBA biennial conference in London and the ALCCI trade mission to Lebanon in October 2012. Anne also attended the Australia China Trade and Investment Expo in Beijing 2014, the IBA Conference in Tokyo 2014, the UIA conference in Florence 2014, the Investment Immigration Summit in Hong Kong 2014. Anne chaired a session at the CPD LCA Immigration Law Conference 2015 and attended the Department of Immigration and Border Protection Industry Summit in Melbourne 2015. Anne chaired a session at the 2016 IBA Conference in Washington and was heavily involved in organising and co chairing a session at the 2017 IBA Conference held in Sydney. In February 2017 Anne partook in the CPD LCA Immigration Law Conference and in June 2017 presented at the Legalwise Migration Law Seminar held in Melbourne.
Immigration Solutions’ efforts have been recognised on numerous occasions. Immigration Solutions was awarded the Acquisition International Legal Award for Human Rights Legal Practice of the Year 2013 (NSW) and was also the winner of Immigration Law Firm of the Year Australia at the 2014 Finance Monthly Global Awards. Anne’s personal achievements have also been recognised: she was personally nominated for the 2014 Telstra Australian Business Women’s Awards. Anne was listed in the Who’s Who Legal, Corporate Immigration Lawyers for six consecutive years (2011–2016). Anne won the Corporate Immigration Lawyer of the Year Award in 2014 for the Corporate International Global Awards and the Lawyers Monthly UK Women in Law Award Australia in 2014. In 2016 Anne was recognised by The Lawyer’s “International Legal 100” as the Corporate Immigration Lawyer of the Year and by Acquisition International as a Legal Expert at the Mobility in Business Awards. In 2017 Anne was recognised by Corporate LiveWire M&A Today Global magazine as the Corporate Immigration Lawyer of the Year. In 2017 Immigration Solutions Lawyers was named by both Corporate International Global Magazine and ACQ5 Legal as the Corporate Immigration Law Firm of the Year.
Immigration Solutions has been deeply involved in the Business Innovation and Investor Programme (BIIP), especially with regards to the significant investor visa (SIV). Immigration Solutions was invited to provide submissions for the review of the BIIP and SIV to the Joint Standing Committee on Migration, and was also invited to participate at a public hearing on the BIIP. In 2014 Immigration Solutions was invited to the Beijing Trade and Investment Conference and the Hong Kong Investment Summit to lead a discussion on the SIV, which is indicative of our internationally recognised experience.
