The applicant came to Immigration Solutions Lawyers seeking help with sponsorship and lodgement of a Subclass 405 Investor Retirement visa application.
A Subclass 405 Visa allows self-funded retirees with no dependents the ability to reside in Australia during their retirement years. A Subclass 405 Visa is a temporary visa that allows Applicants to remain in Australia for a maximum of four years. This particular visa does not lead to Australian permanent residency or citizenship. However the Applicant can continue to apply for subsequent Subclass 405 visas providing they continue to satisfy the strict requirements.
Applicants must satisfy the following criteria for approval:
1. Applicants must be sponsored by an Australian state or territory government agency other than the Australian Capital Territory.
2. Applicants must be 55 years or older however partners can be any age.
3. Applicants must have no dependent children or dependent family members other than their partner.
4. Applicants must have assets of at least AU$750,000. This amount is required to meet initial settlement and ongoing costs of living in Australia.
5. Applicants must have access to a minimum net income of AU$65,000.
6. Applicants must be able to make a designated investment of AU$750,000 in your name in the state or territory in which you have been sponsored.
7. Applicants must hold the necessary medical insurance for your period of residence in Australia.
8. Applicants must have no intention of working full-time in Australia.
9. Applicants must meet the necessary health and character tests set by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection.
