Today we received some very exciting news at Immigration Solutions Lawyers. We received our first grant letter for a Refugee and Humanitarian (Class XB) (subclass 201) visa for one of the Afghan Women Judges that I have been assisting.
Judges and their families arrived in Australia today 25 January 2022, advised by IBA Human Rights Institute and International Bar Association that they all are so delighted to be a step closer to starting their lives again in Australia.
Australia had agreed to take 20 Afghan women and their families according to Baroness Helena Kennedy – 29.12.2021
The Department of Home Affairs : “The arrivals and settlement of the emergency evacuation in Afghanistan is progressing.”
Australia stepped forward and I am grateful that they’ve done that,” Baroness Kennedy said. “But of course, if there were any possibility of Australia taking a few more, I would be thrilled.”
